CHEYENNE BOTTOMS WATERFOWL REPORT -

| Waterfowl numbers |
Duck numbers continue to increase. Goose numbers
have been dropping. The spring migration is on. Ducks can approach
9,000 with goose numbers varying from a few hundred to maybe
1,000. A variety of duck species are moving through. |

Pool 1A- 71"; Pool 1B and 1C- 55";
Pools 2 through 5 each have about 17". |
| Hunting conditions |
Due to last years high water, cover is limited. |
| Expected hunting success |
Poor, few birds on the area. Light Goose Conservation
Order is the only hunting opportunity for waterfowl. |

Daily Permit Required - free in each parking
lot. Instructions are posted. Only non-toxic shot is allowed
on Isabel Wetland Wildlife Area for all species. |

Texas Lake will no longer close at 1PM during
the waterfowl season. In 2008-2009, the area will be open all
day. |

Permit required (Free) - available in all parking
lots. Instructions are posted. Remember that only non-toxic shot
is allowed for all shotgun hunting at Texas Lake Wildlife Area. |
