December 18, 2004 - I'm
planning a late season pheasant hunt to Rush county with my dad
and brother, can anyone give me a report? Thanks and safe hunting!

anyone know if pheasant hunting around Marion Reservoir on public
hunting is productive, I would like to take my 2 boys this weekend,havent
heard much from this area,used to be pretty good years back,any
info would help, Thanks!
November 22, 2004 - WELL,
I HAD BIG PLANS TO HEAD OUT TO WILSON LAKE FROM WICHITA TO DO
SOME STRIPER FISHING SUNDAY. LOOKED AT THE FORECAST SAT. THE
DAY BEFORE AND IT WAS FOR A TRACE TO 3" OF SNOW IN THAT
AREA WITH BREEZY CONDITIONS. THE GUY THAT WAS GOING WITH ME IT
WAS THE ONLY DAY OUT OF THE MONTH HE COULD GO. SO WE PLANNED
IT TWO WEEKS AGO AND WAITED. WE CANCELLED THE TRIP SAT. NIGHT
DO TO THE FORCAST. WOKE UP SUNDAY MORNIING AND BY 11AM. OR SO
THE SUN CAME OUT AND THE WIND WAS LOW ENOUGH WE COULD HAVE WENT
OUT. PULLED UP HAYS KS, CONDITIONS AND IT WAS THE SAME BUT 8
DEGREES COOLER WITH LIGHTER WINDS. I DON'T THINK ANY SNOW FELL
SUNDAY IN KANSAS. JUST CAN'T WIN. REALLY UPSETTING. WHEN IT'S
THAT FAR TO TRAVEL YOU HATE TO VENTURE OUT WITH A FORCAST THEY
GAVE THE DAY BEFORE AND WITH THE FUEL PRICES. YOU'RE LOOKING
AT A MIN. OF $75.00 IN FUEL ALONE. I MIGHT BE DONE FOR THE YEAR.

MR in Iraq--I'm glad you are able to get Emails over there. You
might not get told this very much but we appreciate that you
are over there fighting for our way of life. When you get back
in-country, if you are from this area let me know, through this
site, and if I'm in the fish at Cheney, I will put you on the
fish as my way of saying thanks for being on duty. MAC
