November 25, 2007 - Texoma
- Submitted by Southern Oklahoma Guides - Fall fishing
is really starting to pick up with the cooler temperatures we
have had the past couple of weeks. Fish can be found at various
depths of water. One day in particular I was on fish in 10 feet
of water early and finished up later in the morning on fish in
the river channel (75 feet). Typically, everyone is chasing the
birds, but, it seems I do better when I can stay away from all
the boats. Fish are being caught using various techniques. Down-riggers
pulling double jig rigs, slabs, sassy shad and live shad are
all producing fish. I expect the fishing to only improve through
New Years depending on the weather.

- Skiatook - Submitted by Watkins Guide Service - Finally after
a few slower trips the wind kicks it up and the fish where on
fire. On the water at 3 and out of 120 shad by 6, we boated 50+
wipers 15 of those where 5-8 lbs. We also caught smallmouth,
cats, and a good walleye. Come get some!!

June 27, 2007 - Texoma
- Submitted by Southern Oklahoma Guides -The lake is
five feet above normal and rising. Be very careful about floating
debris in the lake. The fishing is still very good with limits
coming fairly early in the morning. Fish quality is good with
many keepers in the 18-19 inch range and numerous fish from 20
to 26 inches. Fish are being caught on live shad at various depths
of water. We will find fish one day in 20 feet of water or less
and the next day in seventy feet of water. Expect to find muddy
conditions on the Washita and Red River Arms of the Lake. Concentrate
your activity on the lower end of the Lake where you will find
clear water.

excellent. Limits are being filled easily. Pictures speak louder

Service - - Fishing has been excellent. Last 7 trips
has produced over 400 wipers. Most of the fish are between 2.5-4.5
lbs. but there has been many caught in the 5-9lb range. All fish
caught on live shad. for a trip give me a call. 918-851-6093

Oklahoma Guides - The lake is three feet above normal
and the water temperature is in the upper 60's. Striper fishing
is excellent on live shad. Some topwater activity is occurring
early in the morning on the banks where the threadfin shad are
starting to spawn. Down-riggers have been producing fish also.

28-29, 2007 - Grand Lake - Heartland Elite and BFT - Submitted

With no time to practice due to work, I was planning
to rely on a
similar pattern as LOZ. However, an open mind and some history
played
key to some success this weekend. The first couple of hours were
fruitless with only a couple of small bites and no fish. Thinking
about
Grand lake and past successes, I switched to a home-made
black-blue-purple jig with a Zoom blueberry lil, craw trailer.
Fishing where most anglers wouldn,t on docks, I was able to catch
a
limit weighing 14.82 # to finish 11th and earn some money.
Unfortunately, I did lose a good 3# fish over a dock cable that
would
have culled a smaller 14 fish costing me some additional money.
20#
fluorocarbon and a 6,10 Heavy action Quantum rod were critical
in
fighting fish out from under and around the docks.
On Sunday, dad and I used the same pattern to catch
an 11# limit to
finish just out of the money. I think this pattern of fishing
was
dwindling and the fish will soon be moving to the points for
a football
jig, crankbait, and C-rig bite. If the water gets cleaner, a
topwater
bite could really be strong in the next couple of weeks.
April 2, 2007 - Miami
below dam - Went down beneath the dam at Miami, OK
to do a little spoonbill snagging. Conditions were perfect. River
was up and running and there were hundreds of people lined along
the banks casting and jerking. I saw several fish caught the
biggest one I caught was 31 lbs. Here is a picture of that fish.
The river is swift so if you plan on going be careful and watch
where you are slinging you heavy sinkers. Good luck and good
fishing!

26, 2007 - Grand Lake - March
24 and 25 Had a great time snagging ! Largest fish caught by
the pretty girl. Go figure. 56lbs.(the fish). Hey guys she even
cleaned her own fish! Had a great trip.

by Mark Kirkpatrick -It was a windy (30 mph) weekend
at Sooner lake Oklahoma, I fished the hot water discharge with
a Carolina Rig Classic Destiny rod, 15 LB Vicious line, and 4"
watermelon red Snack Daddy split stick. I only managed to pull
three keepers, along with a mess load of shorts. In all 9th place
was my finish. Sorry for the funny face in the picture; the sun
was in my eyes.

- Submitted by Southern Oklahoma Guides - Striper fishing
is good to excellent on live shad and artificial lures. We are
catching fish long-lining using deep diving thundersitcks and
redfins. Sassy shads are also producing fish. The black bass
are starting to move to the shallows. A lot of males are already
on the bank and with the warm weather we are having the big females
will not be far behind. Water temperature is 55 and the lake
elevation is close to normal

Oklahoma Guides - Striper fishing is excellent on live
shad and sassy shad. We are chasing the gulls and having great
success in terms of numbers and quality. Our last trip produced
a limit with fish up to ten pounds. Catfishing should pick up
this month. We will keep you posted.
