The bi-weekly event was started again by Southwinds Bass Club and co-sponsored by Shady Creek Marina at the reservoir and Zeiner's Angler Supply of Wichita.

Only three keeper fish were caught by the anglers in 18 boats fishing the event. Terry Knueppel and Shawn Hinkle won first in the tournament, good for $288 and big bass which netted them $85. Their largest fish was a 2-pound, 14-ounce smallmout. The second fish they brought in was also a smallmouth. Total weight was 4-pounds, 10-ounces.

Robert Tauer captured second place with another smallmouth. His fish was worth $172.80.

Prize money of $115 for third place carries over to the next event scheduled for June 9.
